Performance Battle @ Mischief Club #1
In a culture shaped by social media, algorithms, and fear of saying the wrong thing, emotional expression has become filtered and performative. Research shows that most people suppress emotions instead of processing them, which increases stress, distance, and disconnection. When we stop engaging with complexity, nuance, and contradiction, we don’t become calmer or wiser — we simply push those parts underground, where they often reappear as frustration, anxiety, or resentment.
Mischief exists to counter that trend through art, play, and shared experience. Inspired by psychological research on shadow integration and by the belief that real community requires effort, presence, and mild discomfort, we create spaces where people can safely explore ideas, emotions, and creativity together. This is not about provocation or excess, but about balance — between reason and emotion, structure and spontaneity, comfort and connection. By engaging with the “Side B” of life, we aim to foster more honest conversations, deeper relationships, and a more integrated way of being.
